Respawn has announced a limited-clock time duos mode for the battle royale Apex Legends, after Ea declared the game to beryllium its 'annual shooter' in a Q2 2020 earnings shout out (via VGC).

EA is very pleased with Apex Legends. It has plenty of reason to be, as the 'powerful' property exceeded its expectations and contributed to a spick-and-span Q2 record of $493 zillion generated in live help net bookings. The competitive side of Apex is chugging along contentedly too, and the publishing company wishes to 'compound our long-lived-terminus investment in the game and its community' going forward.
